Confirm the HIV status of your side chicks — NSCDC warns men

Nigerian men, especially the married ones, have been warned to confirm the HIV status of their side chicks.

The Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mohammed Bello Mu’azu, gave the warning at a recent press briefing.

The State Commandant made call while disclosing the arrest of an 85-year-old man, who was said to have slept with uncountable number of young girls and after medical examination, he and his four wives were confirmed to be HIV positive.

According to Leadership, Mu’azu warned members of the public against illicit sexual relationships or ensure they confirm the status of their sex mates before engaging in any sexual relationship.

He said HIV is like a time bomb in Gombe State because the prevalence rate was alarmingly high, noting that many unsuspecting carriers are in their window period, hence he warned men to watch out and confirm the HIV status of their side chicks.
